I’ve had more than one conversation with clients and prospects where we’ve talked about AI and using it to write blog posts.
Often there is a concern about potential damage to the brand, or the AI making stuff up – getting facts wrong, or just the brand “voice” being off. Very valid concerns.
Apart from a couple of things…
If you use AI to write by simply jumping into ChatGPT and saying “write me an article,” then there’s no doubt… what you get out will likely be substandard at best, and complete garbage at worst. But these days the AI has evolved.
Now there are “cleverer” AI models available – the likes of Perplexity, which is much more focused on facts and research.
There are also now tools that work behind the scenes using multiple AI models to craft articles that look legit, are accurate, and can pass for human-written.
One of the best such tools (not for the faint-hearted) is Zimmwriter which does all sorts of things behind the scenes – like reading your competitors websites, doing deep research using the likes of Perplexity, and then carefully structuring a well-researched, well-written comprehensive article.
Oh, and it does your images too.
So I guess what I am trying to say is that if you’ve written off AI-produced copy after taking a quick squizz at ChatGPT output, it might be time to take a look around and reassess.
The other thing that I wanted to say is that your fully AI-built blog, with AI chosen subject areas, AI content, and AI images does NOT have to even be in your own brand name to have benefits for you.
How about, instead, building a blog that sits there – off to the side – but can be used to:
– Funnel visitors directly to your content via pre-selling posts
– Send visitors to your offers through what looks like a simple on-site advertisement
– Build a Facebook audience of interested people… people who cared enough to read articles in your niche… and advertise directly to them
All with AI, and all largely disconnected from your main brand site.
Would I recommend adding a blog to your site and throwing up ChatGPT junk on there? No.
But in the spirit of getting the most out of the tools available to us… all I am saying is that a little out-of-the-box thinking is all it takes to put the power of AI and Automation to work for you.
