This is a short tip today… but there’s a twist.
If you’ve played with AI before, you may have run into usage limits. Maybe you fired up ChatGPT and had a “conversation” with it but hit a usage limit after not too long. The only way around it is to pay a monthly subscription.
But what if you are not a frequent user? Wouldn’t you rather be able to use it on demand, pay on demand, without the limits, and have access to all the different AI models through the same portal with the same pay-as-you-go structure?
Enter: OpenRouter.ai
– Prepay some credits
– Choose your AI model(s)
– Chat away to your heart’s content
I use it almost exclusively over the direct models. Probably the only thing I miss when using it is the ability to upload documents into it.
So… a twist you say? Well, here’s the thing… Wherever you’re seeing this post today, I did not write it up on that platform. In fact, right now, I am writing an email. And when I hit send, it will go to a special gmail address (one where I’m using the “+” trick in my gmail address).
Once it gets delivered, it will automatically be labeled, and then within a few minutes, an automation is going to run… It will do several things.
1. Strip out my signature
2. Get ChatGPT to slightly reformat it to make it tidy and remove problematic characters
3. Download an image from a Google Drive Folder
4. Create a post and upload it to my Facebook Page (unfortunately, I cannot upload directly to my profile, but I can to my business page)
5. Create a post and upload it to LinkedIn
6. Create a post on my blog
Simplifying and automating a long-winded process… all the way down to simply writing an email and sending it to my list. The rest is automatic.
I will be adding in future…
7. Write a tweet with a link to my blog and tweet it
8. Ditto for BlueSky
9. Do an Instagram post
10. Maybe even a TikTok
11. I will also be getting ChatGPT to create an image for me on the fly rather than use a standard image
12. And add it to a Google Doc so all my tips of the day are in one place… so that when I want a Tip-of-the-day ebook in the future… it’s already written for me
As I’ve said many times, the opportunities are endless. Are your eyes opening up to the possibilities here?
Let me know what you think!
